    It has been a clear day with wall to wall sunshine.
    Very cold and now the temp is dropping extremely quickly, -1.5c/hr

    Here in Elland , West Yorkshire we had a night that showed only partially broken cloud with a temperature of - 3.5 C @ 5:30 that remained that way well in to the mid morning. It has warmed up somewhat to + 1.0 C now @ 17:55 hrs . The sky has remained fairly grey & overcast throughout the day with distant cloud gaps showing over South Yorkshire. No precipitation at all , all day. The current pressure is 1034.4 hPa and steady . There has been some air movement this afternoon after near still conditions for ages. Any movement has been from a westerly direction.
    The outlook is for little change overnight,remaining fairly cloudy with some chance for slight precipitation in mid morning.

    Just got back home from Attingham Park where we went on the snowdrop walk, where it's been a bright sunny but biting cold day.
    The temperature here is 0.3ºC dewpoint -4.2ºC and pressure 1038mb with, once again, no wind.
    Looks like another cold frosty night.

    The temp fell to -5.6c this evening before the expected cloud came over.
