Hi, you may wonder what the Average Weather over the UK Tends to be over the Year.

So what i have done here is explain what the Average Weather tends to be be in Winter and Summer according to the Colour which can be seen in the Map below at the bottom of this post.

So, it might be best to look at the map first and then look at the stuff below.

I Hope you find the below useful:
    Comments are also Welcome.

    Orange Area:

Winter: During Winter this area tends to see little snow except towards the coast where there may be a little more. Any proper bands of snow can significantly affect things though. The East is usually Colder than the West during this time. Rainfall in this area is usually Lighter than out West where it is usually generally heavier. Gales are not really a problem in this region either except along the coast where sometimes Gales do occur. Overall here will tend to probably be driest especially the further east you go.

Summer: During Summer this part of the UK is usually the Warmest and driest particularly further east. Thunderstorms can be quite a feature here at times with the East usually getting a few more storms than the West of this Region but when a Thunderstorm Occurs it can be Nasty. Once Again Heavy Rainfall is usually most occuring in Thunderstorms and general rain usually Light to Moderate. Sunshine Levels should be at a good level at this time. It can get quite Hot in these Areas at times.

    Red Area:

Winter: The Weather in this area can be quite Mixed with Rain and Sunshine. Snow and Snow Showers can be quite common at times in the North. In the South its mainly rain. Temperatures in this area are quite cool and cold in the North but very Cold up in the Mountains. In the South of this Region its usually more Cool to perhaps a bit Mild. Rain in this area will usually be Light to Moderate with average amounts of rain through the year but more in the Mountains.

Summer: Once Again it can be fairly mixed during the Summer. Thunderstorms are not as common in the North with any usually tending to be Thundery Showers but perhaps more strong in the South. Rainfall amounts are around Average for the Summer but perhaps more towards Scotland. Temperatures in Summer are usually comfortable but can be Very Warm at times.

    Dark Blue Area:

Winter: This area is always the Wettest Part of The UK with Weather Systems quite a common feature. Gales are also possible here in the deeper depressions. This part of the UK Usually tends to be the Mildest but can be cool under the Rain and Gales. Sunshine can be quite hard pushed for at times. Snow is not very common in the South but can be in Western Scotland although in the Western Isles its often Rain away from the Hills.

Summer: Once Again here usually sees the highest amounts of Rainfall in the Country and Rainfall is often Heavier here than the rest of the UK. Thunderstorms dont happen alot here either, particularly in Western Scotland where some may not even see 1 in a year. This Area usually tends to stay Mild to Warm but in Western Scotland it can remain Cool to Mild. Sunshine amounts can vary with some years being way below average to being better on other years.

    Green Area:

Winter: This Area can often see plenty of Snow Showers and rian showers. Mist and Fog can be often sometimes. It is usually Cool to Cold here too. Sometimes Sunshine levels arent good but sometimes its at a reasonable amount too. Rainfall is usually Light to Moderate but in Snow Showers it can be a Blizzard over the Hills when there is Gusty Winds. Frontal Snow can alos be a feature aswell with drifting on the hills sometimes a problem.

Summer: Mist and Fog seems to be very common at times here on the coast while Inland its much brighter. Thunderstorms arent very common here but usually most will see something every year. Rainfall is not usually Heavy here. Under the Fog it can feel quite Cool and Autumn like but when its Sunny it can feel pleasant.

    Light Blue Area:

Winter: It is often very cold here at this time of the Year with Snow and Snow Showers quite common. The Cairngorms are always very Cold with Snow. It is a bit milder on the coast though. Here can enjoy some Sunny but crisp days though. Any Rainfall is usually Light and Mist and Fog can be quite Common.

Summer: Once Again its often Cool to Mild here especially in the Shetland and Orkney Isles where temperatures never get much above 15c. There is often a small Warm Spot though around Aberdeen. Thunderstorms are not very common here either. Rain is usually Light here. It can be Misty around the coasts at times. It remains Cold in the Mountains and there is often Snow still lying on the tops of the Mountains in Early Summer.

Thankyou For Reading and i hope this is useful.
