I downloaded it a few months ago and ran it. It seemed to work fine, but slowed the computer down somewhat. However I found out that if you asked it to do a lot of processes at once, i had to restart my computer because it would just freeze - but that might just be my computer :icon_cry:

What specs are your computer? And the OS? I had it on Vista before I ditched Vista. I don't think it worked properly. It seems to work well on XP, for me, as long as I change the screen resolution it ran at.
On Ubuntu it behaved badly, so I think it is my Vista compatible hardware that is the problem.

Here is how I set my Stellarium up to make it work OK on my XP system.

(Go to Start/All programs/Stellarium. Right Mouse click on the Stellarium icon, select properties. Then click on the Compatibility tab and you are staring at the image ((more or less)) that I have posted. Adjust accordingly and see if that helps.):icon_bigg

Judging from what you have been saying here,
the version of Sollarium on the disc I have is a reduced release.

Will download the full thing when I can get time on a fast computer.

Slowness, so far as I can tell, is usually server overload on the shared systems I use in libraries and internet shops.
So i must pick a time when there is few other users in the shop.
